The Ministry of Textile (MoT) on August 13, 2026, notified regarding the fixation of the Maximum Ex-Factory Prices for 580-gm Type-A & Type-B B-Twill Jute Bags for 2019.
It has fixed the maximum ex-factory prices for 580-gm Type-A and Type-B B-Twill jute bags for each month from January to December 2019. The prices vary according to the applicable raw-jute linkage, with no linkage from January to August, 5% linkage in September, 10% in November, and 8% in December. Type-A and Type-B bags carry identical prices, ranging from ₹78,411/MT in January to ₹82,562/MT with linkage in December. The bags shall conform to BIS Specification IS 16186:2014 (Amendment No. 1), carry prescribed identification, BIS certification and minimum breaking-strength requirements, and comply with the applicable PCSO conditions. The notified prices are exclusive of GST, which shall be paid additionally by the purchaser.
